Sheer Lace

If you're going to go into combat with one of Spring's most revealing obsessions--sheer lace--then you're going to need some battle plans to prepare for obnoxious onlookers. How do you work the sheer, barely even there look, without looking like you're vying for some dollars on the corner of your college campus? You can either where a simple bra, solid-colored, non-padded, and on the same color palette as the rest of the ensemble, a la this post, or you can use the opposite strategy--go bold, go bright, go shiny. Due to difficulties with lighting, the sparkles of my $5 black strapless Material Girl bra in these photos aren't as luminescent as they appear in person. But it's there. And it's sparkling.

With my sheer lace crop top and my sparkly bra (that rivals most bathing suit tops, or so I believe), I also wore my Forever21 floor-length skirt, PacSun feather earrings, and my Open Heart Key necklace my mother bought me for Christmas. I'm enjoying the delicate, fragile, sweet, and soft vibe of Spring 2011. I'm such a softy, sometimes.
