Bow ties and dotted tops--that's what's up.
My most recent thrifted find: a quaint, dated blouse dotted with black crescents, circles, and a shape that reminds me of dinosaur footprints, frozen in time, fossilized on a tawny-colored and now dried sand pit--or a $2.99 blouse from Value Village. I tucked my dinosaur feet-stamped shirt into thrifted high waist shorts from Goodwill. I layered with black stockings, (being that Spring is a few more rays of sunshine and a bit less rain away), and matched it with my black wedges, lengthening my legs in the matchy-matchy process. This next tip is especially geared towards my shorties, (and by "shorties," I mean actual girls who are short)--before parading half naked in the long-awaited warmth of the sun, and before your legs come out of hibernation, be sure to: one, shave them, and two, kick off the stockings (or yank those skin-tight hole-prone things off), and step into some sky-high nude pumps. That's a guaranteed leg-lengthener. Topping off my minimalist outfit is my $5 H&M bow tie necklace, its silver chain tucked beneath my collar.
